This painting is the latest release from my easel of a wildlife subject. It is an oil on polyester cotton smooth canvas and is 12" x 16" unframed. This Lioness was observed on a trip with my wife to the South Luangwa River in Zambia a few years ago. I enjoyed making this image as it suggests the loose brushwork without the fine detail to convey the essence of the majestic creature in her natural habitat.
